In order to cultivate students who will have the basic abilities to address the specific issues of natural disasters and global problems based on the knowledge and skills related to earth sciences such as meteorology, hydrospheric sciences, geochemistry, geology, volcanology, and geophysics, and who will be able to work in the various areas of society by acquiring extensive education related to earth sciences, the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences admits students who are deeply interested in earth and who are motivated to study and acquire fundamental scientific knowledge and are well-equipped to apply it in real world.
