Philosophy

In the Graduate Program in Philosophy students can study and research in four fields: Philosophy, Ethics, Aesthetics, and Religious Studies. Since these four fields are closely related to each other, consideration is given so that students can take a wide range of courses according to their intellectual interests, regardless of their specialization. Most of the classes are conducted in a seminar style with discussion by all participants rather than one-way lectures. In addition, even if the class takes the form of a lecture, it proceeds while receiving questions and comments from the participants appropriately. Through these discussions, we aim to cultivate logical thinking and communication skills, and to acquire the attitude of proactively addressing philosophical issues.
